HIGHLANDS world famous Lake Atitlan: Easy Flight & Smooth Soaring over a beautiful lake at a nice resort. Hotel by the lake, with private beach, landing field, swimming-pool & beautiful gardens. There are three ramps at altitudes of 6,550 ft, 6,650 ft and 6,800 ft and two official landing fields at 4,900 ft, one on the public beach and the other on the beach of our hotel (the best).
The lake is surrounded by mountains and three volcanoes with altitudes of up to 11,600 ft. Panajachel is a little village on the edge of Lake Atitlan. This important tourist place will be our main station from where we start our trip to other places which are about 1 to 2 hours away from there.
ANTIGUA: A colonial town with a very comfortable and cozy atmosphere. Located 1.½ hr. from Lake Atitlan with 3 different flight-sites; soaring & XC, or a big adventure Volcano Acatenango Flight, Make an XC or a long sled ride from 12,000ft to the coast. The road doesn`t go all the way to the take-off, a one hour walk is necessary, carriers will take the equipment to the Take-off. For this flight is a charge of $75 extra
PACIFIC COAST: Towing flights at nice beaches. 1hr. from Antigua or, 1.½ hr from Panajachel, take-off will be by means of static or aero towing About 350 kms. long and 60 kms. bright of flat land between sea and mountains with a chain of more than 30 volcanoes varying in their altitudes from 7,550 ft to 13,943 ft.
